IMALU is the daughter of the famous comedian Akashiya Sanma and actress Otake Shinobu. She developed an early interest in music and decided to become an artist herself. She studied abroad at a high school in Victoria, Canada, where she graduated in April 2008.

IMALU made her first appearance in the magazine Zipper in June 2009 and participated in a radio show on FM Yokohama.

Her first single, "Mashed Potato", was released on January 13th, 2010, but she only made her first TV appearance with her second single, "Sonna Namae Hoshikunai yo", in March. She also hosts a show called A-Studio that airs every Friday.

miwa is a Japanese pop singer-songwriter. She made her major debut under Sony Music Records in 2010 and is managed by Tristone Entertaiment Inc.

Biography

miwa was influenced by music from her father at a young age. When she entered high school at 15 years old, she started writing her own music and learning how to play the guitar. miwa was prohibited from having a job, but she secretly worked to save money and bought her first guitar, a Gibson J-45. Soon, she started performing live shows with a friend at places such as Shimokitazawa Loft and Shibuya 7th floor. Eventually, she was noticed by producer Yamamoto Mataichiro who began coaching her. She released two indie singles under N Cube Entertainment Inc.: "Song for you / TODAY" and "Soba ni Itai Kara".

Currently, miwa is attending Keio University. Her major debut single, "don't cry anymore", was released under Sony Music Records on March 3, 2010. The title track was used as the theme song for the Fuji TV drama Nakanai to Kimeta Hi, starring Eikura Nana. Kylee (カイリー) is a Japanese-American rock musician. Kylee is signed Sony Music Entertainment, and in 2009 she moved from it's RX-Records label to their major label DefSTAR Records. Biography
Kylee Saunders was born to a Caucasian father and Japanese mother. She loved music from a young age, and when she was 11 sang the USA's national anthem at an NBA game. Over 60000 people were in the audience, and among them was a Japanese talent scout. She made her official debut in late 2008; despite her music being physically released only in Japan, as of yet Kylee has only recorded English-language music.

On April 20th, 2009, her new song "Just Breathe" was released as a mobile download through Recochaku. It is currently the ending theme for the anime Bounen no Xamned.

Mana Kana

Mana Kana (茉奈 佳奈) is a Japanese pop duo formed by twin sisters Mikura Mana and Mikura Kana, born February 23rd, 1986 in Osaka.

Information

Mana Mikura and Kana Mikura were born in Osaka and Mana is the older sister. They are both 156cm in height and have O blood type. Mana and Kana first debuted as child actresses in 1995. In 1997, the Mikura twins formed pop group ManaKana (マナカナ - written in Katakana) and made their major debut with the single Nisenichiya no Mew. After releasing their fifth single, Chibi Maruko-chan, the group went on a long hiatus for Mana and Kana to focus on their acting career.

In 2007, Mikura returned to the music scene again. As the twins are both adult now, they changed the group name to Mana Kana (茉奈 佳奈 - written in Kanji) and re-debuted with the single Nigatsu no Watayuki. But it is not until their first cover album Futari no Uta in 2009 for Mana Kana to gain more attentions. The album reached #30 on the Oricon weekly charts and has a long chart-life. Born in Portland, Oregon, BECCA started to write song at a young age and began to learn guitar at the age of 10. In early 2008, she signed with Sony Music Japan International and debuted in Japan with the mini-album Perfect Me ~Kanpeki na Watashi~. Her second mini-album, TURN TO STONE was released two months later, featuring the songs TURN TO STONE and Guilty Pleasure which were used as the opening and ending theme for the anime Ultraviolet: Code 044.
